What's up With That?

The world of marketing has undergone a significant transformation over the past few years, and the pace of change shows no signs of slowing down. With the rise of artificial intelligence, the future of social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram, and the increasing importance of video content, businesses must adapt to stay relevant in the ever-evolving world of marketing.

AI (Artificial Intelligence) Taking Over

One of the most significant trends in marketing is the increasing use of artificial intelligence. AI can analyze vast amounts of data, identify patterns, and generate insights that can help businesses optimize their marketing strategies. Artificial intelligence marketing (AI Marketing) is leveraging customer data and AI concepts like machine learning to anticipate your customer’s next move and improve the customer journey. Advancements in artificial intelligence offer companies better ways to do that. AI can help build more effective marketing strategies, improve the customer journey, and change how businesses attract, nurture, and convert prospects.

For example, AI-powered chatbots can provide 24/7 customer support and help businesses respond to customer queries and complaints quickly. Predictive analytics can help marketers identify potential customers and create personalized marketing campaigns that are more likely to convert. Machine learning can analyze customer behavior and optimize ad targeting, resulting in more effective ad campaigns.

According to Salesforce, just 29% of marketing leaders used AI in 2018, which surged to 84% by 2020. So it’s no surprise that the global value of AI marketing is set to climb from $12 billion in 2020 to an eye-watering $108 billion in 2028. If you haven’t considered the power of AI for marketing, now’s the time to learn more.

Instagram

Carousels are back in but that doesn't mean you should stop sharing reels because

Instagram updated Reels with new tools to help creators connect with their audiences and make it easier to create engaging content.

The new Reels Trends hub allows users to browse top trending songs, hashtags and topics. This tool is great for research and planning. Instead of making an educated guess about the popularity of a song or trend you’re seeing all over your feed, you can now check out the actual numbers before deciding if you want to join the conversation. You can view how many times an audio has been used and create a reel right away or save the audio for a later video.

Instagram’s also added new features to help you understand what’s working (and isn’t) in your current Reels strategy.

Instagram Reel insights also now include total watch time (the total amount of time a reel was played, including replays) and average watch time (watch time divided by the number of total plays) for each reel which is aimed to help with understanding engagement.

Your new Instagram post dimensions are as follows:

  • Landscape: 1080 x 566 pixels

  • Portrait: 1080 x 1350 pixels

  • Square: 1080 x 1080 pixels

  • Supported aspect ratios: Anywhere between 1.91:1 and 4:5

  • Recommended image size: Width of 1080 pixels, height between 566 and 1350 pixels (depending on whether the image is landscape or portrait)
